A classic set of Hulme's Familiar Wild Flowers, consisting of the first three installments. The project is a legendary botanical collection, Hulme's life's work, which consisted of a botanical and cultural profile of each wild flower found in the UK alongside a watercolour plate designed by the author. There are over 120 specimens across the three volumes.
In good only condition with moderately rubbed boards and spines, hinges worn, spines faded, corners gently bumped, inscriptions to prelims, moderate to heavy foxing throughout including some plates. Half-bound in green leather with marbled boards, marbled endpapers and marbled edges. Raised bands, gilt compartments and titles to the spine. 19.5 x 13.5 cm. Pp. xviii, 160; xv, 160; xv, 160.
