Reprint circa 1925. A charming copy of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, illustrated by the legendary artist Arthur Rackham. Rackham's signature style embodies the whimsy and eerie fantasy of this wonderful tale, which appeared as the second instalment of the Peter Pan series when released in 1906 and sees a younger Peter find faith in his ability to fly, using it to escape from his London home and return to his fairy friends in Kensington Gardens.

In very good condition with 16 tipped-in colour plates, light spotting and discolouration to the lower front board, endpapers foxed, spine a little sunned. Binding firm and pages generally clean. Bound in red cloth with blindstamped border, gilt fairy scene to the front board, gilt titles to the spine, map endpapers. 21 x 16 cm. Pp. [x], 126, [2].
