First City Lights edition, third printing. Very scarce. A fabulous copy of Mount Analogue by the French Surrealist Rene Daumal, an allegorical mountaineering tale in which a group of explorers attempt to climb an invisible mountain by obtaining obscure and esoteric knowledge. Daumal abandoned the project in the middle of a sentence, too ill to write. He then passed away from Tuberculosis on the same day, aged just 36.
Paperback. In very good condition with light edge wear, a tanned spine, light foxing to covers and prelims. Bound in grey stock with a wonderful psychedelic motif to the front cover. 20 x 14 cm. Pp. [v], 106.
