A lovely set of the Bronte's novels, complete with colour frontispiece illustrations by Edmund Dulac. The master illustrator's first commission was for the 1905 edition of the Bronte's works. This 1920s set include the best examples of his contributions to the publications as their frontispiece designs - one plate per volume.

In very good condition with the spines darkened from green to brown, the cloth creasing in one or two places, a couple of light bumps and scratches, pages generally very clean and tightly bound. Half-bound in green calf leather with blue cloth boards, raised bands and gilt titles to the spines, pink marbled endpapers, and a gilt top edge. Uniformly 18 x 11 cm. 7 books in 6 volumes.
