Second edition. A classic Art Nouveau title featuring a selection of British sundials, many of which survive today, with 8 tipped-in colour plates by Alfred Rawlings and 36 etchings by H. W. Hogg. The book cover was designed by celebrated Scottish illustrator, jeweller, and book designer Jessie Marion King.
In good condition with a tanned spine, general wear including a few more noticable creases and fraying at edges, bumped corners, ink inscription to forward blank. Bound in King's illustrated cream stock with colour motifs to front, spine and rear in her distinct style. Title label with gilt lettering to spine. Top edge sprayed green, others untrimmed.
