First edition. A spectacular Art Nouveau title featuring a selection of British sundials, many of which survive today, with 8 tipped-in colour plates by Alfred Rawlings and 36 etchings by H. W. Hogg. The book cover was designed by celebrated Scottish illustrator, jeweller, and book designer Jessie Marion King. 

In good to very good condition with a tanned spine, general edge wear, a few light scratches and creases, gently bumped corners, very small stains to rear board. Internally very clean bar a few small spots. All plates and drawings present. Bound in King's illustrated cream stock with colour motifs to front, spine and rear in her distinct style.
