1905 Novels of the Sisters Bronte. Thornton Edition [Complete In Twelve Volumes]

A complete set of the 1905 Thornton edition of the Bronte novels, namedly Jane Eyre, Shirley, Vilette and The Professor by Charlotte Bronte, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, and Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte, and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. The set features occasional black and white photographic illustrations taken from around the Haworth area where the literary sisters grew up, alongside some personal media such as a sketch of Anne's dog 'Floss' (here labelled as Charlotte's).

Sold at a reduced rate due to some condition points including moderate foxing to some volumes (especially along the block edges and on preliminaries), marks to some covers (particularly Agnes Grey), and general age-related sunning, handling marks, and edge wear. Good condition overall. Bound in green cloth with gilt ornamentation and titles to the spine, top edge gilt, others uncut. Uniformly 21.5 x 14.5 cm.
