An attractive Macmillan edition of Washington Irving's Regency-era novel, Bracebridge Hall, or, The Humorists, which was originally published in 1822 and features episodic scenes inspired by visiting upper-class families in England. This edition is generously illustrated by artist Randolph Caldecott, whose huge output of humorous drawings and caricatures made him immensely popular in the mid-late Victorian era.
