Seventh edition of this very scarce title. A fantastic guide to the world of perfumery penned by Eugene Rimmel, a master perfumer and one of the world's first distributors for commerically manufactured cosmetics. His brand, Rimmel, is still in operation today. The book features a single colour chromolithograph plate alongside a plethora of black and white engravings. The book covers all the avid Victorian perfumer needed to know about the trade, from its cultural history to its fine manufacturing details.

All edges very brightly gilt. 20 x 13.5 cm. Pp. [v], xx, 266, [2].
