This selection mostly consists of portraits and views, tissue guarded and accompanied by Gallery text extracts. Books of this kind are often considered a precursor to the coffee table book of today.
In good to very good condition with a rubbed spine, bumped corners, and light foxing throughout. Bound in contemporary charcoal morocco leather with gilt-stamped botanical borders and blind outer borders, gilt inner and edge dentelles, marbled endpapers and fully gilt block edges. 24 x 16 cm.
